William "Bill" Kost
April 29, 1941 - August 3, 2008
William
"Bill" G. Kost, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son
in law, brother in law, friend and drag racer. We, all his loved ones,
friends and associates, grieve his passing.
Bill lived life large - and did it his way. As we
share stories and memories, we laugh, cry and shake our heads in disbelief
that he won't be walking through the door any moment now.
Bill died suddenly and unexpectedly at age 67 on
Sunday, August 3 at 10:30 AM. Some call him "The Greek", others "The Hit
Man" and his grandkids call him Papou. Bill was a man of integrity, he was
strong willed and loved his family - wife, daughters and grandchildren -
passionately. Bill's greatest life's passion was drag racing - he raced at
the Seafair Nationals just two weeks ago. He was an avid Seahawks fan -
season ticket holder from their very first game. Bill was owner of
Performance Grill and Kost Auto Sales in Auburn.
Through the years of his life he formed many
special friendships, inspired others, encouraged many, both in and out of
the family, in business and on and off the track. Mr. Kost, we will miss you
greatly - you leave a big hole in our hearts and lives on this side of
heaven and know we will see you on the other side.
Bill is survived by wife, Vicki; daughters,
Shirlene Wakefield, Denise Kost, Kirsten Mount (Jay and his son Jacob),
Kaline Edmunds (Mike); grandchildren Ryan Greer, Luke Greer, Tarynne Wilson,
Alexis Wilson, Logan Edmunds, Levi Kost; brother Peter Kost and wife
Elizabeth, nephews Dino and Peter Kost and nieces Alex Graham and Louanne
Low.
